Lecture
Shupe offers a four hour presentation on all engine company concept/discipline. If you are having a specific discussion within your department, we would be happy to focus on it and present a traditional perspective on that issue. Other topics include: Leadership (formal & informal); the fire department's principle responsibilities to the communities; and enhance company officers professional growth and development. All of these are interwoven with street smart firefighting that Shupe has proven successful, while working busy streets for 30 plus years.

Hands On Training (HOT)Back to the basics of fire fighting. We will review engine staffing, hose layout, and your community needs. Training would include: nozzle mechanics; pump pressures; long and short hose stretches; and challenging structures. We will demonstrate how to use a static hose bed to address multifamily, limited access, and setback structures. We drill on hose deployment, accountability, search and rescue (from the hose line), 'go or no go', hose over ladders, standpipe operations, master streams deployment and work with all three sizes of hand lines. SFT can help you identify your training needs and enhance a better level of fire service protection for your community.
Our Hands On Training is based on our working experiences and the lessons from generations before us. |
